Summa Summa Summa Time!

So, it has been a while since I've checked in!

Summer has began and I've been trying to get as much beach time in before the oil spill in the gulf completely ruins it.  So sad what is going on with the whole oil spill.

With the beginning of summer, also brings the beginning of party planning mode for me.  I'm already throwing together ideas for Will's 2nd birthday party.  I have a list already begun, and ideas bouncing around my head.  We're going with a train theme for this one...trains are pretty much the only thing on his brain lately,  so we can't go wrong with a train party.

Wes and I have also been diligently trying to get lingering unfinished projects on the 'completed' list.  So far the "completed" list is non-existant.  But we'll get there eventually.

I have this grand idea that I'm going to start sewing custom car seat covers for Britax carseats.  I decided this when I went to purchase one for Will and realized that people are charging $70-$110 for them!  I almost fell out of my desk chair.  I've decided this will be that "2nd" job that I can get for more shopping money.  Only problem is, is that I 1-Don't know how to sew; 2. Don't really have the time 3. Don't know how to sew.

I figure I'm going to give it a go and make an attempt.  I think I SORT of know what I'm doing, and for some reason think that I can just figure the rest of it out. HA!  I'll let you know how that goes.  I'm sure that process will make for a fun entry!

Well, gotta run!  It's Friday night and for the first time in a LONG time we have NO real plans for the weekend!  Whooo-hooo!!  Guess it means closet organizing and house work this weekend.
